Piero's 'Landscapes' are almost all 'Landscapes of Memory', colorful visions of his memories, an example is the 'Landscapes of Memory', made with Oil on Canvas which are almost cartoons. These are almost all the memories of childhood in Ostiglia, a millenary place with an almost intact countryside nature and light greens very different from those of the Milanese countryside. In addition to this there are different visions of the Po, the most important river in Italy that passes right through Ostiglia and as Piero says 'you can paint it in 1000 different ways even at the same time of day because it is changeable'.
